Burch Family Mini Sesion

So...back here in North Carolina, I had my fair share of mini-sessions. To kick off the fun was a special treat for me, because I was able to take pictures of one of my former high school classmates (and fellow cheerleader) family! I hadn't seen Candice in 10 years, so to be able to meet her husband and their sweet 2 kids was really special!

They live in El Paso, TX, but were home for a few days in Edenton, so I met her there and we went to a couple of beautiful spots (of course everywhere in Edenton is beautiful!)

Enjoy some favorites from their session!

They were so intrigued by all of the leaves, grass and water. After all...there's not much of that in Texas!

Baileigh's Christmas picture...Classic or FAIL?

So...real quick, before I move on to the next session, I have to share this picture I took of Baileigh while we were in Oxford. Last year, when I came to Mississippi to take my brother and sister in law's engagement pictures, we found this old field with an old chimney that looked like it could crumble with one strong wind gust. I couldn't get this place out of my head this year when I came back, because I KNEW that this would be the PERFECT place to take Baileigh's Christmas picture.

I had her outfit ready, we had little Christmas cards made and had spray painted clothes pins gold so that they would look awesome when we clipped them to the twine that was strung from one part of the chimney to a tree branch that had grown in front of part of the chimney. It was PERFECT in my head.

I didn't take into account that she would fall asleep on the short 10-15 minute drive out there and would NOT hear of waking up to take a picture...just ONE...for mommy!
If you could have seen us all (behind the scenes) trying to talk to her, coax her, flat out plop her in the place where I wanted to stand, you'd definitely be laughing your heads off. I managed to get one shot of her face...but the look is priceless.

At the time, I was sooo mad! I came back to the house, looked through the...maybe 6...pictures I had taken in the 30+ minutes we were out there (I would have stayed longer, but the sun was almost down by the time I gave up). For those of you who know me, only having 6 shots in 30 minutes is completely unheard of.
But, I found this one picture...which has continued to grow on me, because it was truly a moment that doesn't happen often, but when it does, LOOK OUT!

I put this picture on my FB wall and commented that maybe she should be added to the naughty list after this session, but I was overwhelmed with how many people loved this picture!

So...here it is...you decide: Naughty or Nice? =)

Bear, Belle, and Pearlie Mae!

My last session in Mississippi was for my brother and sister-in-law and their little puppy Pearl. My sister-in-law always wanted to be a "Mother of Pearl", so, that's how little Pearlie Mae got her name! ha ha!
We went back out to Rowan Oak (that was a popular location that week for me), and I was able to take a couple of shots of them so they could put together their Christmas card.

While I was there, with Bai and my mom, we went to the Ole Miss/LSU game. It was a ton of fun (although it wasn't much of a game) and we were able to meet some super fun people and tailgate at The Grove and hang w/ Chelsea's friends who came up from Louisiana to cheer for LSU. I'll post those pics another day, but for now, enjoy these pics of my brother and sister-in-law!

This was the Christmas card picture!

 Love this one!

She's such a diva! =)

Sullivan Mini's - Memory House, Oxford, Mississippi

The next sweet session I had was of this little cutie. We went to the Memory House, just a mile or so away from the Ole Miss campus. It is such a beautiful home, and we were welcomed inside and told we could take pictures anywhere. I love it when places are cool like that! Enjoy!

The Wilfawn's Mini

So this was the second year I had an opportunity to take pictures of this fun crew! I always said that little Claire reminded me of Baileigh, and this year, Baileigh was invited to come out with me for this session so that she and Claire could have a play date! Thanks to my mom for coming out with me (she came to Mississippi with me so she could see my brother and help out w/ Bai). Enjoy this wild, crazy, but super sweet bunch!

Sweet Claire! (and yes, that it one of her brothers on top of the silo!)

The kids with their beautiful mom, Angie. Don't you just love this view of their yard?
